Sports invoke extreme passion, and when this energy is transferred to the fan club of one of the local football giants (the "Old Lady" UTA), the responsible Arad web development team must understand the high stakes—the online store must withstand massive spikes of instantaneous traffic.

1. Context

For the supporters' club, the availability of new limited-edition jerseys and the launch of new kits was a critical bottleneck. Legacy platforms were simply not technically engineered as e-commerce stores with thousands of products where a wave of concurrent buyers could add product variants (sizes XL, colors, custom text printing on the back) to their shopping cart simultaneously from mobile connections on their way to the stadium.

2. Approach and Optimizations

Here, X-HOUSE leveraged a premium WordPress architecture with major optimizations to backend caching. We brought our expertise to create a highly scalable E-Commerce architecture:

  1. Brand Identity Design: A pixel-perfect responsive layout strictly respecting the club's colors and premium logo.
  2. Checkout Performance Optimization: The checkout flow load times were drastically reduced, offering simplified payment options via Stripe, Netopia, and PayU integration.
  3. Predictable Delivery: Shipping workflows are heavily automated via automated courier integration (Sameday / DPD), allowing warehouse operators to generate and attach AWBs directly inside the order process. Dispatching these tracking numbers automatically via email notifications builds trust and reduces customer support queries ("Where is my jersey?").

3. Excellent Mobile Dynamics (Local UX)

Throughout the project, we found that more than 80% of purchases come from users under the stadium stands or around live events. Therefore, the entire UI and the "Add to Cart" experience were heavily stress-tested to handle traffic peaks, achieving our primary target: an extremely stable e-commerce ecosystem powered by strong backend caching.
